“They are everything we could have wished for and more! Nothing prepared us for when we received the first glimpse of our photographs. Our photographs are nothing short of magical

Amy & Phill got married at the stunning Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, an amazing castle with gorgeous woodland and an impressive interior boasting high ceilings, dark quirky spaces, and humongous windows for amazing light to spill in. Amy & Phil chose to have the ceremony in the great hall, a large spacious room, even when it isn’t dressed takes your breath away. Although the Great Hall is a large space the ceremony was so intimate and atmospheric. Lit with lots of candles, white floral decorations filled the aisle. It certainly made you look twice. Peckforton Castle is a incredible wedding venue.

When Amy started her walk down the aisle with her dad on her arm, you could have heard a pin drop, Amy look amazing in her gown, truly jaw-dropping, and incredibly elegant. How Phil kept looking at his wife-to-be was just so adorable. Amy fought back the tears with a little help from the odd tissue!! It had been a rather emotional bridal prep, so I knew there would be a few tears in the ceremony. You can’t beat the raw emotions when two soul mates come together and these two certainly were that they met when Amy was 14. Phill got down on one knee in front of all her friends and asked if she would be his girlfriend. I think he knew from then on she was the one!

Following the ceremony, the reception drinks took place in the long gallery. Drinks were flowing and guests were mingling so we managed to slope off for a few minutes. We snook back into the Great Hall as I noticed the light was beautiful. Everything was just so perfect. I didn’t really need to pose or direct Amy and Phil as they were just so engrossed in each other, just how it should be!!

The wedding breakfast was called, Amy & Phil had opted for speeches first so they could all relax and enjoy their meal. The room looked insane, filled with masses of romantic candles, it looked so romantic. Amy’s choice in all her decorations really suited their personalities, classy elegant warm, and romantic!

The speeches did not disappoint, Amy stood and delivered a corker, it was such an emotional speech, the tears were flowing as well as the Crystal! After the dinner, guests mingled and we had another chance to sneak away for a couple more portraits. Amy & Phil really loved this time to relax and take a breath. We went down towards the castle draw bridge and it felt so quiet and serene. So peaceful, it was a lovely 15 minutes of peaceful bliss.

‘Ok so, now the party started’. Have you ever heard the saying?, “It’s always the quiet ones”!!! Donna, Amy’s mum is the most gentle, polite, and loveliest mum I’ve ever met. Well, that all changed once the awesome ice sculpture turned up!! Donna only left that ice sculpture to grab, and I mean grab victims to take the shots that Donna was fiercely pouring down the ice funnels!! ! I have never laughed as much. As the night got underway it was evident Amy & Phil loved dancing, fair to say a little competitive dancing too. All the family was up and the rave was on. It was a great atmosphere, the lighting was amazing along with the beats and sax.

I was thrilled to photograph Amy & Phil’s day, the love I witnessed still floats into my mind. If there was any family I would want to adopt me if I didn’t have one would be these guys. Totally amazing gorgeous fun-loving people. Thanks for having me shoot your day!
