“PHOTOGRAPHY IS A WAY OF FEELING, OF TOUCHING, OF LOVING. WHAT YOU HAVE CAUGHT ON FILM IS CAPTURED FOREVER… IT REMEMBERS LITTLE THINGS, LONG AFTER YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN EVERYTHING.” – AARON SISKIND

I know a lot of photographers that don’t like photographing the details, there is nothing wrong with that, we all have things we are not too keen to shoot. For me however, I love to shoot the details on a wedding morning, that is why I arrive a little earlier than I should!! I feel it’s so important, a lot of the time the little things can be really sentimental. They can be passed down from loved ones, grandparents and parents. You spend so much time in choosing that all important dress, veil, perfume and jewellery. Then there are the SHOES!! I have a serious shoe fetish.

I see the bridal prep as a way of me warming up, I look for light and shadows to create something a little more dramatic and different. I also like to creatively display items together to make an editorial look. I usually go searching for places to use, taking full advantage of interesting little nooks that the venue has to offer.
