Whitley Hall Wedding Photography

The character at Whitley Hall in Yorkshire makes it a dream for a wedding photographer. The ivy-clad surrounding the venue creates a beautiful backdrop for portraits and group shots. As a Sheffield wedding photographer, I find Whitley Hall’s architecture stunning. In particular, the texture of the stone creates such beauty within the images, especially in the intimacy of the couple’s portraits. Depending on the time of year, Whitley Hall can offer ceremonies outside with a gorgeous setting beside the waterfront. Or enjoy your drinks reception and canopies outside the beautifully- well-kept gardens. Whitley Halls 1584 restaurant chefs create a mouth-watering wedding breakfast for you and your guests. The accommodation at Whitley Hall is outstanding. The rooms are tasteful and cosy meaning guests can really let their hair down and stay overnight at the hotel. Whitley Hall provides everything a couple could want in a venue, creating a super relaxed day for the couple and all the guests.

Whitley Hall in Yorkshire is a 16th-century venue in the heart of countryside Sheffield. Its history speaks for itself at the venue with the beautiful old stone walls and the stable block. Whitley Hall is spread across 20 acres of garden and woodlands in the South Yorkshire countryside, creating beautiful views and lovely scenic walks around the grounds. The old fireplace, suggestibly built between 1850-1930, creates a highly cosy feel. Its once owners, Henry and Maria Bingley, spent much of their time in the room with the fireplace. This shows the love that Whitley Hall carries throughout the building, creating a romantic atmosphere for the couples who choose to get married at the venue. Their signatures are engraved on one of the windowpanes in this room, and the date is marked 1889.

In April, I captured the new Mr and Mrs Anger’s wedding day at Whitley Hall, and…WOW! What a day! With the Parker suit suited and booted, Rachel glammed up with her bridesmaids, guests seated, and Jon at the altar. It was GO time! With rings and vows exchanged, Rachel and Jon headed down the aisle with confetti canons at the hands of the guests. It was time for group shots after a round of champagne and some delicious canopies. The gorgeous background for the group shots creates the most beautiful images. Rachel surprised Jon and their guests with the amazingly talented undercover singing waiters during the wedding breakfast. I have seen plenty of singing waiters at weddings. However, these guys get it right every time. Their cheekiness and amazing voices are the best in the business! This pair is always incredible and prepares the guests perfectly for the night ahead of singing and dancing. After capturing the first dance and cake cutting, it was all left to the guests to dance and sing their hearts out so I could capture them on the dancefloor, creating some funky and fun shots. One last thing to say from me…..Thank you to Whitley Hall for being so accommodating, and a massive thank you to Rachel and Jon for letting me be part of your big day… you guys are amazing!
